Capetown Expat is currently developing our own map. In the meantime, here are links to the best Cape Town maps you can find on the web:

Probably the best online map of South Africa, including Western Cape and Cape Town. You can zoom in and out and search on streets and points of interest. You can also get and store directions - pretty handy if you haven’t got car navigation. You can also get GPS coordinates by clicking anywhere on the map. There is also a Distance Chart which enables you to calculate distances and travel times down to street level. Finally, you can download a map to your own website (although without the search functionalities).

Another good online map of South Africa, including Western Cape and Cape Town, although not as advanced as the one above. You can zoom in and out and search on streets as well as within some categories, such as tourist attractions, golf courses, conference venues etc. The names of various suburbs as well as some security estates are mapped as well. This map also includes a distance calculator, but only between cities and towns (not streets), and with distances measured as crow flies this feature is hardly useful (except if you happen to be a crow).
